Hello, and welcome

Thank you for visiting my little bit of cyberspace, I hope you like some of the images on the pages within

Over the last couple of years wide open spaces and breath taking scenery have become a passion of mine. I can now think of nothing better than arriving at a special location, to catch a glimpse of the new dawn, or watch the last of the days light disappear over the horizon. I hope and try to share the mood of the moment and reproduce it through a photograph.

My interest in photography turned serious when I purchased a DSLR camera in 2012. I am mostly self taught through an ever increasing library of books, online tutorials and through the participation of a web based diploma program, which I graduated from at the end of 2013.

Honours & Awards
In 2014 my image 'Bright Eyes' was chosen as the winner of the Classic View Category in the prestigeous 'Landscape Photographer of the Year'. This is a huge honour and achievement.

My image 'Heavens Gate' also received a Highly Commended award in the 8th International Garden Photographer of the Year competition, in the 'Breathing Spaces' category.

In 2015 my image 'Roseberry and Cows' was shortlisted in the 'Landscape Photographer of the Year' competition, and 'Out of Darkness'  was shortlisted for 'Outdoor Photographer of the Year'.

Images 'Haweswater' and 'April Showers' both received commended awards in the 2016 Landscape Photographer of the year competition. 'Castlerigg Panorama' and 'Inside a Storm' were also shortlisted.

'Inside a Storm' Was selected to be included in the 'Outdoor Photographer of the Year' Portfolio 2. I was lucky to have a further 4 images shortlisted

I now regularly contribute to internationally circulated magazines and work with advertisers on product packaging. I have started to give talks at Photography Societies around the UK and will VERY Soon be offering 1-2-1 tuition along with private commissions. Please drop me an email with any queries you may have.

This was a dream of mine that started just a short time ago. If anyone had suggested that I would be spending so much time taking photos and 'making pictures', writing articles, etc... I wouldn't have believed you. Now I can't think of anything I would rather do.

Thank you for your time, and enjoy looking at the images (galleries updated regularly)
